The Humber
High tides are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning, Friday October 18th, on the Humber Estuary around North Ferriby. Areas most at risk include properties on the east side of Humber Road and the south side of Ings Lane, also properties on Redcliffe and Southfield Drives between 7:15-9:00am on Friday 18/10/2024. This period of high tides continues into the weekend, and so we may re-issue this warning for subsequent tides. We are closely monitoring the situation. Floodgates in the area have been closed. Stay away from beaches, riverside footpaths, and roads in North Ferriby as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. This message will be updated by 9:00am on 18/10/2024, or as the situation changes.

Wave overtopping and flooding from high sea levels is possible today, Tuesday 09/04/24 until this evenings high tide has passed between 7.45PM and 9.15PM. Areas most at risk include properties along the Humber estuary and on the East side of Humber Road and the south side of Ings Lane, and also properties on Redcliffe and Southfield Drives in North Ferriby. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next few days and may issue further alerts/warnings. We will continue to monitor the forecast. The Humber
Spring tides and strong winds are forecast to bring high levels and large waves along the Humber estuary on Sunday 7th November. Waves and spray are forecast to overtop the Humber frontages and may affect properties on the East side of Humber Road and the south side of Ings Lane, and also properties on Redcliffe and Southfield Drives in North Ferriby. Some of the highest tides of the year are expected over this weekend, and the forecast shows that, due to the local weather conditions, Sunday morning’s tide will be particularly high. The highest levels are expected between 07:00-09:00. Our operational staff will be out inspecting our flood defences, and we are liaising closely with our partners. Please keep away from flood water.
